Functions are available 7 days a week, with food packages from $35pp and drinks packages from $53pp. Prefer to keep things flexible? Ask us about bar tabs and cash bar options.

Can I host a party or function at the Doutta Galla?
Absolutely. From private dinners and birthdays to engagements, corporate events and bigger celebrations, we have multiple function spaces for groups of different sizes. For the finer details, contact events@douttagallahotel.com
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Absolutely. We can cater for a range of dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free, as well as specific allergies. Let the team know when booking or ordering so we can best accommodate you.
Do I need to book a table at the Doutta Galla Hotel?
Bookings are recommended, especially for busy periods, but walk-ins are always welcome.
Do weekly specials run on public holidays?
Our regular weekly food and drink specials don’t run on public holidays. Keep an eye on our What’s On page and socials though – there may be something special happening at The Doot instead.
Does the Doutta Galla have fireplaces?
Yep. When Melbourne turns the temperature down, we fire up the fireplaces for winter, making The Doot a very cosy spot.
Does the Doutta Galla have outdoor dining?
We sure do. Our outdoor street dining is perfect for a meal, a few drinks or a catch-up with mates – pups included.
Does the Doutta Galla show live sport?
Absolutely. The Doot is made for game day, with plenty of screens throughout the venue showing live sport. If there’s a particular game you’re keen to catch, have a chat with our team – chances are we’ve got it on somewhere, and we’ll do our best to get you sorted.
Is the Doutta Galla dog friendly?
Yep! Dogs are welcome in our outdoor street dining area, so your four-legged drinking buddy doesn’t have to miss out.
Is the Doutta Galla family friendly?
Yep. Families are welcome at The Doot, particularly for daytime dining, lunches and early dinners. We’ve also got a dedicated kids menu, so there’s something for the little legends too.
Is the Doutta Galla wheelchair accessible?
The ground floor is wheelchair accessible, including our Public Bar, Restaurant, Gala Room and Liar’s Club. Upstairs areas are accessed via stairs.
Is there a public holiday surcharge?
Yes. A 15% surcharge applies to all food and beverage purchases on public holidays.
Is there parking at the Doutta Galla Hotel?
Yes. Parking is available behind the Doutta Galla on Brock Way. Time limits apply: 2 hours Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm, and Saturday, 8am–1pm.
Where is the Doutta Galla Hotel located?
You’ll find The Doot on the corner of Racecourse Road and Eastwood Street in Kensington, close to Flemington Racecourse. Newmarket Station is just across the road, with Kensington Station around 750m away and Flemington Bridge Station 1km away. Catching the tram? The Number 57 stops right at our doorstep at Stop 25, Wellington St/Racecourse Rd
